| Academic Credit Policy |
|
| CSPEMT determines the amount course credit, if any, that it will accept as transfer credits from another cosmetology or esthetics school. For credit to be considered, the school must meet the standards of the office of licensure for barbers and cosmetologists in the state the school resides. If the student received education from an accredited school, CSPEMT will use a fair and objective evaluation process to determine course credit reciprocity. A committee, consisting of the school director, administrator and course instructors will thoroughly review the student’s past academic records and course work, as well as contact the student’s prior school. In addition, the committee will interview the student to review past training. Upon final review of all information, the committee will make a determination on whether credit will be granted. |
